RT @Politics_PR: Poll: 49% Of Republicans Don’t Believe In Evolution: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/polltracker/gop-evolution-49-percent-don-t-believe

Forty-nine percent of Republicans don't believe in evolution, a new Public Policy Polling survey found Tuesday.

The poll by the Democratic-leaning firm found that 49 percent of Republicans said they do not believe in evolution while 37 percent said they do believe in evolution. Another 13 percent said they were not sure.

In a sign that the issue still carries weight with GOP primary voters, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) recently refused to say whether he believed in evolution.

They become a real nuisance in late fall when they discover and devour the budding illicit marijuana plots in the hills, then wander down and rampage lethargically through the local farmers markets. They've grown extremely fond of the baked goods. They favor the sticky buns and raisin bread in particular. After consuming all the pot and baked goods they fall over in the streets and slumber. That's when men wearing dark glasses fly in with their helicopters and relocate them far back in the hills, only to have the event repeat itself the following year.

The pot farmers want the pesky Brontosaurus removed from the endangered species list. The baker is spearheading the movement.

I did not take this photo but I witnessed the event. The photograph is not photoshopped.

Some people are so impossibly stupid it's hard to believe that they can navigate day-to-day life. And there are more of these morans every day. I truly fear for the future of our species.

ETA, I recently learned that there are some nincompoops out there trying to refute Einstein's theories of relativity by arguing - wait for it - that gawd can make light make move at different speeds and other equally imbecilic propositions they pulled out of their own fundaments.

More disturbingly, in 2012 a majority of Democrats (51 percent) could not correctly answer both that the Earth goes around the Sun and that this takes a year. Republicans fare a bit better, with only 38 percent failing to get both correct.

May he rest in peace with large women.

Yeah, I think at one time I could recite most lines from the Princess Bride.

When Andre needed back surgery the anaesthesiologist was buffaloed as to how to put him under. So he asked Andre what it took to get him drunk. Andre told the gas-passer that it took a couple of liters of vodka to get a decent buzz - "a nice warm feeling" as he put it. The doc used that as a basis for determining how much gas to give him. Apparently that formula is still used on people who are really massive.
