(9,033 posts)Approving the pipeline is a decision for the president to make and he is waiting for the appropriate reports from all the relevant agencies. This veto was about not having his hand forced--preserving presidential prerogatives perhaps?--not shutting down the pipeline. I'm saving my celebration for the latter event.
