Bobby Jindal: 'Of Course The President Is A Christian' And Loves America, Too
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) said Monday that he believes Obama is a Christian -- and loves America, too, despite what other Republicans might say.
The Washington Examiner caught up with Jindal to ask about remarks Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), who was present at the private dinner where Giuliani originally made the comments about Obama, made about the President's religion.
“I don’t know,” Walker said when asked the Washington Post asked him whether he thought Obama was a Christian.
"I can't speak for Gov. Walker," Jindal told the Washington Examiner. "Of course the president is a Christian. Of course he loves this country." The potential 2016 Republican presidential contender also backpedaled a bit Monday on his earlier defense of Giuliani's accusation that Obama doesn't "love America."
"The president loves America. He loves our country. There is no doubt about that," Jindal said at a press conference after a meeting of the National Governors Association at the White House.
