Worthy of an Oscar nomination. Glen Campbell's I'm Not Gonna Miss You. Video

"Glen Campbell's final song is about his Alzheimer's. It's nominated for an Oscar since it debuted in the documentary about his and his family's journey through the diagnosis and treatments.

He's under 24 hour care in Nashville now so they're not sure he'd be able to accept the award in person or even remember the words, even though he wrote the song and it's so personal.
Beautiful song. Beautiful man."

The memory care healthcare world. Memory care facilities are sponsoring it in many venues. One of the most difficult aspects of memory care is helping the loved ones of those affected. This is a good tool to help families accept and understand better.

my father-in-law and a brother-in-law are both at the end stages.

Bless you Glen and family for doing this and promoting the horrendousness of this soul-taking disease.

it was a fall at a VA center and they had to remove parts of his brain. Confusing time so basically the last time I knew him proper was 2006. 2007-2008 total stranger. He'd get that light sometimes but never the same. Alot of things happened in 2008 Just was really weird over the summer of 2008. Brother and I would stay overnight at his house because parents had to sell it to keep up the VA payments. ANd it would be weird because all the calendars would say Nov 2006 smh Stuck in a time capsule full of memories. That house was built for him in 1955. Only Grandma's around on dads side. And she remembers alot but she's not well.. Paranoid Schizophrenic always been that way... tough song above
