Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI recall there is a significanice to
getting a 1 year 1 day sentence, but I can't recall what it is. There is some
legal difference between 1 year sentence and a 1 year 1 day sentence.
Any help out there on this one??

If you are in the county jail, here at least (Oregon), jail crowding tends to result in early release if you're in the county jail.
Anyway, it's a felony sentence.

http://wtvr.com/2015/02/20/why-that-extra-day-on-maureen-mcdonnells-1-year-sentence-is-everything/
The extra day allows a convict to qualify for time off for good behavior. One year is likely a longer sentence.
