Mother Calls 9-1-1 to Get Intruders Out of Her Home, Cops Show Up, Shoot and Kill Her

http://thefreethoughtproject.com/intruders-broke-womans-house-called-9-1-1-cops-showed-killed/

A tragic story of police negligence emerges out of Gastonia, North Carolina this week. A mother of two was killed by cops after she called 9-1-1 for help.

Police say Betty Sexton called them for help so police could remove two intruders from her home that she shared with her boyfriend....

According to Kennedy, her boyfriend told police that the gun was not loaded or functioning, and when the cops ordered her to put the weapon down, she cooperated.

Despite complying with the officers’ orders, Officer LaDoniqua Neely shot Sexton, killing her.

Gastonia again?! It's not that big of a place.

The real news here:

and the officer's name is LaDoniqua Neely!!

Jesus, what a fucked-up profession the police institution is turning into.

Keystone Kops with greater firepower and a higher body count...

and now I understand they're suing the Ferguson PD.

It's starting slowly, but the worst departments are starting to be confronted by the fact that forefeiture laws might have made them fat, but they didn't make them judge, jury and executioner.

The DOJ has a lot of work to do.

Same with the psychological testing..too high in the "empathy" scale and no way you get a job....the whole rationale is to prevent high turnover....too intelligent and compassionate? You might quit!

But a defense attorney we talked to last week thinks the officer is in the clear.

"You can just never point a gun at a police officer," says attorney Tony Scheer. "That's the bottom line."

The cops are killing people at an alarming rate in that town. For purposes of comparison, the last cop to fall in the line of duty in that town died in 1948.

For those of you just joining us, the flag to his left is that of South Carolina, which tends to maintain a rivalry with its northern neighbor. Pickens is a small town in SC.

the one up north. You have your Heels and you have your Cocks. I was admitted to both. It was an easy choice. (UNC class of '74)

As of 2010,[1] there were 71,741 people, 27,770 households, and 18,599 families residing in the city.

So, about three times the size of the suburb that I live in (where I'm not sure police have ever killed anyone).
