DHS intelligence report warns of domestic right-wing terror threat

Washington (CNN)They're carrying out sporadic terror attacks on police, have threatened attacks on government buildings and reject government authority.

A new intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security this month and reviewed by CNN, focuses on the domestic terror threat from right-wing sovereign citizen extremists and comes as the Obama administration holds a White House conference to focus efforts to fight violent extremism.

Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from sovereign citizen groups as equal to -- and in some cases greater than -- the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention.​

The Homeland Security report, produced in coordination with the FBI, counts 24 violent sovereign citizen-related attacks across the U.S. since 2010.

Those Sovereign Citizens are the bona fide gun nuts in our country, armed bigoted thieves in libertarian clothing, and they don't give a fuck about anyone else but themselves. They're even stealing peoples' land and houses and getting away with it all across this nation.

What worries me the most about such a gang of misfits is that they can talk a good talk to influence the many disenfranchised young people who are suffering in our country's economy these days.

One of them up in here in the Pacific Northwest caused a lot of grief for a whole bunch of idiotic tax filers four years ago. That guy, as a certified "tax" preparer, managed to bring on several hundred audits for all of them, as he tried to bilk the federal government out of the taxes those folks owed. I couldn't get over the trouble he caused when that story broke...Sovereign Citizens don't even believe in paying any taxes, at all, so he worked out a scheme where the forms he sent in for those people deemed them corporations with loopholes galore. I forget how many years they sentenced him to, but he also was hit with a whopper of a weapons charge, so hopefully, he's still sitting in prison.

Up here, if they know that you know who and what they are, they'd just as soon shoot ya as to look at ya. I have long thought that Sovereign Citizens are the most sneaking and dangerous extremists we've got in this country.
