Given that they elected GWB & Rick Perry for governor, Ted Cruz for Senator, and Louie Gohmert as one of their Congressmen, I'd say their state pride is perhaps the biggest indication of their ignorance and self delusion. *

* acknowledgement of exceptions; Texas is not bereft of intelligent people with progressive values

most of them don't feel that way, but they're either A) afraid to show up to vote, or B) convinced that voting won't change anything. It's that latter category we have to work on.
