But there is hope! It was bright this morning, the snow was not squeaking, everything in my car clicked properly, and most of our driveway's blacktop is visible.

It's really cold here in KC today. Everyone tries to cheer themselves up by saying "At least we aren't in Boston."

(24,736 posts)Here in the Pacific NW we are experiencing Spring about 6 weeks early. This has many devastating effects, including, for us in the inland, huge increase in fire danger come this Summer.
Also, my new college grad daughter has been enjoying one of those great jobs one experiences at this time in her life - operating a chairlift at our local ski area. They are now only open on weekends due to lack of snow, so she's feeling a bit rudderless. Her Summer job is with the Forest Service, so I expect she'll be getting some overtime, with lots of fire activity expected ...
