Al-Baghdadi announcing himself "leader of all Muslims" is a major point of contention between them & Al-Qaeda but share the same Wahabbi ideology. They're more alike than they're different. The goals are very different, IS main objective is to overthrow a government in a Muslim majority country which is what the original Wahabbis did -- Saudi Arabia.
