Canton student who lost both parents now diagnosed with brain cancer

10:24 AM, Feb 17, 2015

CANTON, Ohio - A GoFundMe account has been created for a Canton teenager who has experienced more hardship in his 14 years than most people do in their entire life.

Tommy Domotor and his two siblings lost their father about 7 years ago to a brain aneurysm. Since their mom, Andrea, was a stay-at-home mom, the family was left without income after his passing and was forced to file for bankruptcy, according to friends of the family.

Then, only a few years later, Andrea was diagnosed with aplastic anemia. She passed away in February of 2013.

Since then, Andrea's sister Rose has stepped in to take care of the three children, along with three of her own. But, as if the family hasn't suffered enough tragedies already, the family recently learned that Tommy has a form of brain cancer.

It's nice to see you, too!

I came across this story about this young man this morning on my local news and it just broke my heart.

I thought I'd post it here since I know that DU'ers can be quite generous.
