Can the Dems pull off what the Rs did to move the country to the right?

Of course, there are many factors that conspired against the left and dragged the "center" further to the right. But I'm interested in one factor: Where's the Liberal Fringe Clown Car?

The Right loves to parade lunatics like Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz about then torpedo them. In the end, they choose the "establishment" candidate to appear like a "moderate" party vis-a-vis the Clown Car.

Will Berinie be the sacrificial Socialist? (That's not my perception of Bernie, but that's how he's perceived.)

It was supposed to be Obama in 2008. He was the one who gave us hope there would be change. Unfortunately, he met with Bubba then jumped the shark and hired Rubin and Summers before he was even inaugurated.

Which begs the question, Are Dems even interested in moving the "center" back to the center, at the very least? I think Bernie can do just one thing with the 2016 candidates: make them sound like they are left of center. Hillary et al realized they can be like President Etch-a-Sketch and wipe the slate clean once she's elected.

In the end, I guess the upshot is: Time for the baby boomers to go away.

The Dems need a transfusion!

Sure liberals will deny it, but they can't get a majority to the polls. Candidates must give lip service if they want to be viable.
