James Gamble identified as dead teen linked to alleged Halifax shooting plot
The 19yearold found dead in connection with the potential mass shootings in Halifax has been identified as James Gamble, CBC News has confirmed.
Gamble left behind a blog filled with disturbing and dark images of death, shootings and references to the 1999 Columbine high school massacre in Colorado. It also has several references to Adolf Hitler and Nazis.
...
Police said they seized three long-barrelled rifles from the home where Gamble's body was discovered.
...
One, operated by two girls "brought together by a mutual interest in Columbine" among other things, posted a memorial to Gamble.

Randall Steven Shepherd, Lindsay Kantha Souvannarath charged in Halifax shooting plot
Two people were arrested at Halifax Stanfield International Airport and have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after an alleged plot was foiled to kill a large number of people at the Halifax Shopping Centre in the city's west end on Valentine's Day.
Lindsay Kantha Souvannarath, a 23-year-old from Geneva, Ill., and Randall Steven Shepherd, 20, of Halifax have been charged.
A 17-year-old male from Cole Harbour, N.S., was originally arrested, but has since been released without charges.
...
Neither Brennan nor Halifax Regional Police Chief Jean-Michel Blais would characterize the alleged plot as terrorism. They say their investigation shows the plan had nothing to do with ethnic or political motivation.

Brusthom Ziamani is an example. I can find only one American report about his trial. I can't see that his arrest, in August, was publicised enough in the USA for anyone on DU to comment about it.

Foiled plots should get more intention - victories over terrorism are ignored but terrorist victories are covered. Terrorists must love that. Media loves covering the successes...keeps the fear going.
But success by Christian terrorists, not so much.

6am, Eastern time, ABC had made those shootings their top story, and the names of the victims were only released about 2am. The cartoonist fired off a kneejerk 'Western media will ignore this' cartoon when he had no idea if it was being ignored or not. And he was wrong.
