A lawmaker in Helena, Montana is trying to make the states indecent exposure law include yoga pants.
Representative David Moore said introduced House Bill 365 on Tuesday in the House Judiciary Committee. He said the bill is in response to a group of nude bicyclists who participated in a group bicycle ride through the city of Missoula back in August.
The proposed bill would drastically expand the existing indecent exposure law to include any sort of expose of nipples including mens or any clothing that gives the appearance or simulates buttocks, genitals, pelvic area or female nipple.
....
Moore said the bill lenient, because lessens that provision to include a maximum five years in jail and $5,000.

(37,364 posts)that this sort of information get out there so that people fully understand the agendas of the fundamentalist extremists we have in the halls of power now. Tabling a bill doesn't necessarily mean that it is totally dead. Some tabled bills are like zombies and live on. I don't trust people like this at all. Not at all.

How would they handle the 3 times factor?
I personally feel that the term indecent exposure should include any public appearance of war criminals on television or other media. Dick Cheney, George W Bush, Colin Powell, John Yoo, and many others should all be jailed.

(6,719 posts)Start 'seen around town' columns with photos of ribbon cuttings and soccer games and strolling yoga pant folk. Bet the situation cleans up quickly. And on the positive side, good to give local community activities some positive coverage. Kids like to see themselves in the paper. Parents buy extra copies. Community groups buy extra copies for their scrap books. Everyone has a camera on their phone these days. Pay $5 for each photo used. We do not need legislation for every little part of life.

(2,065 posts)makes me glad for the immodest dressers in our society and makes me want to join them. Normally, I'm mildly irritated by people walking around half naked. .. like the butt cheek shorts that were popular last summer. But to think they think they can CRIMINALIZE how a woman dresses! ! Unbelievable. How can anyone stay in office after proposing a bill like this? ?
