Generally, an heirloom variety is one that has existed more than fifty years, and can reproduce from its own seed.
Melissas Baby Heirloom Tomatoes pack connects us to the essence and history of homegrown varieties. In recent years, chefs have discovered the intense flavors, unique shapes and colors of heirloom tomatoes. In addition to their wonderful taste, these tomatoes are an excellent source of the anti-oxidant lycopene.
Use them freshly sliced by themselves, on sandwiches, or in salads, sauces, salsas, and stews.
Please note that the varieties in this baby heirloom assortment will vary and we are unable to guarantee any particular variety in this pack.
This item is perishable and must ship at least 2nd day.

(14,733 posts)1. I'd swear I just saw that book advertised in one of my seed catalogues.
Don't recall if it was seed savers, territorial, or southern exposure, but I'd swear I saw it.
