Cindy Crawford goes badass...

Cindy Crawford Unretouched: The Model's Body Makes Waves

An unretouched photo of Cindy Crawford has been circulating on Twitter this morning, revealing a body that defies expectations—it is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous.

While the claim accompanying the photo above is that it will be printed in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire, its origins are actually from a December 2013 cover story from Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America. It appears that this unretouched version is a leak.

No matter where the photo came from, it's an enlightenment—we've always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more. And as she told us at the premiere of her new documentary last week: "I really think—at any age—it's learning to be comfortable in your own skin. ...If women would treat themselves with the same kind of love they give to their friends, that would be such a great gift we could give ourselves. ...What makes you the most attractive is self-confidence. That's what people see."

**I think this is relevant given all the talk about photo shopping women. We just had the first woman with Downs Syndrome participate in Fashion week. Not only is Mrs. Crawford not photo shopped she's not as young as most models. Maybe barriers are being broken---maybe? Something to think/talk about.

I think this is freakin' awesome!! Beautiful.

Which doesn't mean it won't be included in the April issue showing untouched photos of Cindy Crawford. Since it was "leaked" by a sister magazine of Marie Claire, my guess is it's a publicity maneuver to garner interest in the upcoming issue.

For someone in the industry, who has been continuously Photoshopped before being published, this is a big deal.

As a single man, I have seen all types of women's bodies and I think they are all beautiful but I notice women who have c-section scars, a little belly, a lot of belly, stretch marks or whatever tend to be very self conscience about them because the fashion industry never shows us those women. Women are generally surprised when I tell them, their bodies are normal when compared to the population.

But women are so self conscience with the whole idea that they are the only one with stretch marks, belly flab, c-section scars or whatever. The reality is, if a woman is over 30 chances are she has at least one of those if not all three of them. And as a guy, I will be honest I am a sucker for a pretty face, I wont lie I like big boobs and booty but I don't care how they look when the girl is out of her clothing and I don't mind a big belly to match it all. I like women who are confident enough to be seen by their lovers completely naked and not feel the lights need to be out or they need to be covered up.

and showed they are confident enough to show how they really look women would feel more confident about themselves. And the only thing that turns me off is a woman I can't have a conversation with. My girlfriend is 9 years older than me, we met two years ago on a dating/hookup site, it was just supposed to be some casual sex but we spent the whole night having sex and great conversations. We have been together ever since, and my girlfriend is considered overweight by others but the sexiest woman I know.

I doubt that it has anything to do with lipo.

I don't understand. People complain about airbrushing, but then when somebody doesn't want it done they still complain.

For 99 percent of women who have carried babies to full term or close to full term, I don't care how much you work out and how many crunches and how much core work you do, your stomach ain't never gonna be the same after pregnancy. Ever.

I've always preferred one-piece swimsuits -- they're better for actual swimming, and there's less need for sunscreen. So my belly shows some sagginess from babies, but not wrinkles from sun.

In every other respect however, she wins, hands-down. She looks great.

that makes every model look dewy, perfect, unnaturally thin, and with skin that looks like vinyl.

You might be uncomfortable with how raw and sexual this unretouched image is.

I find the usual run of magazine perfection to be utterly boring. This image is arresting, stunning, and fascinating, even if people don't consider it conventionally beautiful.

And you're right, it's usually a "she" who is photographed au naturel. Men don't do that if they're beefcake models. Those muscles need to be oiled and enhanced.

because her "brand" now seems to based on Hot For Her Age. It would have been nice to think this was a brave move on her part to buck the trend. If this hurts her career that would be terrible for her. But, at the same time, this is good for people to see what an illusion it all is. I think she still looks amazing. Women don't have to keep looking like the hot 20-30 year olds for as long as they can because it's actually unattainable, even for rich supermodels.

But this wasn't meant to be released if I'm reading correctly. I was actually shocked when I saw the pic, because these sanctioned, planned releases of "unretouched" or "without makeup" pics always still look great because they're staged. They're either minimally retouched or the lighting and filtering are so ideal that they still look fabulous. I was honestly ready for my usual reaction. I'm still not sure this pic was meant to see the light of day like that.

She has other business interests besides modeling.

Anybody that has ever had a family or single portrait done has lighting to make them look good.

I don't know if it was leaked on purpose or not.

33. Jaimie Lee Curtis did this, more than once, I think. My quick Googl-ing

led me to More magazine, circa 2002. I seem to remomber an earlier shoot, if so, will update tomorrow.

Jamie Lee Curtis wants to expose herself to you. It is, she says, the only way to make things right.

Look at her, traipsing around a whitewashed Los Angeles photo studioin nothing but a sports bra and tight spandex briefs. When she strikes a pose, her dark blue eyes stare unabashedly into the camera lens. But don’t let the swagger fool you: She knows she’s taking a risk. The 43-year-old movie star, who bared her breasts in Trading Placesand did a bawdy striptease in True Lies, has certainly showed more skin in the past than she’s flashing right now.But in a very real way, she’s never been more naked.

At her insistence, the photographer, Andrew Eccles, is shooting her with no makeup, no manicure, no professional coif, no diamond jewelry and no high couture. The lighting is unforgiving. So is the full-body camera angle and Curtis’ straightforward stance. But everything is just as the actress wants it. She says it’s the least she can do.
