Financial regulators will review regs to determine any unnecessary banking rules

The Hill

—Financial regulators will review regulations to determine whether there are any unnecessary banking rules they can eliminate.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Department of the Treasury, Federal Reserve Board and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation say they will search for any “unnecessary regulatory requirements imposed on insured depository institutions.”

These agencies will look to streamline duplicate and out-dated rules on their books.
