Alabama police officer charged with assault for dash cam clip of him throwing elderly Indian man to the ground (VIDEO)
Officer Eric Parker in Madison responded last week to a call about a man walking around a neighborhood. A dash cam caught Parker throwing the man, Sureshbhai Patel, to the ground, which severely injured him. It was later revealed that Patel had moved from India one week earlier to care for a relative, didn't speak English and was just taking a walk.

A police officer in Madison, Ala. faces assault charges for throwing an Indian citizen to the ground, an apparently unprovoked attack that was caught on camera.
Officer Eric Parker allegedly severely injured Sureshbhai Patel, 57, who had not committed a crime and does not speak English.
Police Chief Larry Muncey said on Thursday that Parker's actions "did not meet the high standards and expectations of the Madison City Police Department," the Birmingham News reported
