Beer is sometimes seen as wines less sophisticated sibling, but the bubbly beverage comes in just as many varieties and styles.
Get to know a few brews during Omaha Beer Week, which starts tomorrow and will continue through Feb. 22. Area bars will have pilsners pumping, lagers leaking and porters popping all week long.
Dont know the difference between a stout and a pale ale? Get ready: Beer school is in session. We referenced Beerology by Mirella Amato and chatted with Chris Bettini, a teacher at Beertopias own beer school, to help get you through Beer Week.
LAGERS
What it's like: The lager is the most popular beer in America. Heineken, Sapporo and Budweiser all fall under the umbrella of this crisp brew.
