George W. Bush tells crowd of about 2,700 he made ‘the right decisions’

BELTON, TEXAS — Former President George W. Bush told a crowd of about 2,700 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor students, faculty members and alumni that if he got a mulligan for his time in office, he “wouldn’t undo anything.”

“I made the decisions I made, I would do them over again and history will prove that they were the right decisions,” Bush said Wednesday during UMHB’s McLane Lecture Series, held in the Frank and Sue Mayborn Campus Center.

Bush expressed regrets for what he called “tactical decisions” relating to his 2005 flight over the Gulf Coast in the days immediately following Hurricane Katrina.

“A hurricane has just destroyed a major American city. Do I go in and pull everyone off rescue and recovery for security, or do I wait and come back later?” Bush asked rhetorically. “I chose to do the latter but a photo of me looking out the window of Air Force One was taken, which made it look like the only way I could view the damage was from 10,000 feet.”

Georgie. Must be a bitch seeing all the shit that you created become visible for all to see. He will fortunately live long enough to see Historians rate him as one of the, if not THE worst President ever.

his decision to invade Iraq? Will history prove that Hussein was cooperating with Al Qaeda? Will history prove that Hussein did have active programs to produce weapons of mass destruction? Will history prove that the war in Iraq did not result in massive amounts of suffering and death? Will history prove that the resources that were expended in Iraq could not have been put to better use?

The war in Iraq will be remembered as one of the stupidest and most horrific mistakes in the history of presidential decision-making.

Unfortunately, the "right people" does not include 99% of the population.

With an adversarial attorney cross-examining your answers and without sitting next to your old pal Unka Dick Cheney?

This was at Mary Hardin Baylor? All the more reason to cheer Linfield kicking their ass in the D-3 football playoffs last year. Quit inviting war criminals to talk at your school, UMHB.
