Bill Clinton Just Broke The Internet With His Awesome Farewell Tweet To Jon Stewart

President Clinton makes reference to Stewart’s appearance alongside Robin Williams, Edward Norton and Danny DeVito in the 2002 Warner Bros flick ‘Death to Smoochy.’ IMDB describes the film like this:

Kids show host Rainbow Randolph is fired in disgrace while his replacement, Sheldon Mopes, aka Smoochy the Rhino, finds himself a rising star. Unfortunately for Sheldon, the kid’s TV business isn’t all child’s play.

With a lowly Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 2 stars, the film made just $8.3m at the Box Office despite its all-star cast – I doubt that covered their wages. You’ve got to hand it to wry old Clinton to have played out Stewart, Stewart-style.

The pair have enjoyed many notable interviews over the years, with Clinton appearing on the Daily Show several times – always in good spirits. So Stewart would most definitely have appreciated the joke if he’s seen it – and considering it’s been retweeted no fewer than 11,400 times, it’s fair to say he probably has.

...we both thought Death to Smoochy was an awesomely funny movie!

I'll miss John Stewart terribly; my wife is less political so doesn't really care all that much.

May they come up with a replacement who will wow us for at least another decade!

Police officer: Are you ok?
Williams: I don't know. I'm kind of fucked up in general, so it's hard to gauge. *passes out*

Randolph (Williams) talking to Smoochy the Rhino on the phone:

: You better grow eyes in the back of your head, you horned piece of shit, because I'm not gonna sleep until worms are crawling up your foam-rubber ass! I'm goin' on safari motherfucker! SAH-FAR-I!

I found it pretty amusing. The scene where the great Catherine Keener's character first encounters Edward Norton's character is classic.

There is more fairly dark humor. Shakespeare it's not but that's OK.

Stewart was also in "The Faculty" I believe.

I am shocked it has such a low rating on rotten tomatoes.

(well I see that it audience rating is 66%)
