(20,885 posts)Having said that, it's hard to imagine a circumstance, outside of insanity, where a perpetrator of this crime should get preferential treatment. In short, the idea of differentiating "hate crimes" makes no sense to me. Is this guy a better person if he killed them over a parking space? Thought crime is a dangerous notion to mess with.
