(8,217 posts)No matter what happens, stick to your lie.
FOX News, lies, repeatedly and often, but never ever owns up to it, just repeats it no matter how much proof there is otherwise.
They get away with it.
Sad to say.

(89,259 posts)Other than wingnuts, nobody takes Fox seriously and know they are right doing.
But Williams has credibility with more people.

(23,926 posts)Williams's lies were for nothing more than personal aggrandizement. No one but Williams himself suffered as a result.
Fox's lies, on the other hand, have real world consequences for real people.

(21,749 posts)He is what I would call a "bullshitter". Makes for interesting stories at the bar, but it's always taken with a grain of salt.
The problem is that he is supposed to be respected as a truth teller when he delivers the news and he has compromised that.
Has he lied in delivering the news any more than anyone else?
I can't answer that, but he blew it with his "war stories"
. Literally.

(44,577 posts)Williams's lie was self-aggrandizing at best, and indicative of a personality disorder at worst.
Fox News lies as a matter of company policy.

(512 posts)...that Williams lying is okay, I'm just saying that exaggerating Iraq helicopter stories is small potatoes compared to what Faux News does.
