Yet even he was oblivious to any drama that was unfolding.
The Marine, who is straight, was with two gay friends outside a downtown food joint they had gone to after attending a drag show.

And his friends didn't see or hear anything, they just started throwing punches.
And this, folks, is how hate crime legislation also covers straight people. Because even being with gay people can get a straight person attacked.

(9,527 posts)But I can see how somebody putting a shoe on somebody else could look questionable to an intoxicated person.
That said he doesn't get to punch random people.
