Daily Kos:That doesn't just mean trashing crap right-wing polling, but it also means refusing to accept bullshit data just because it might be favorable to our interests. That is what Daily Kos has stood for, and that is what we want Daily Kos to be known for.
Which leads us to a poll being circulated by the Draft Warren crowd. There is great data in this poll, which I will get to in a bit, but unfortunately, they've focused on the pretense that Elizabeth Warren is viable against Hillary Clinton. The toplines of the poll of likely Democratic primary/caucus voters in Iowa and New Hampshire (emphasis in the original):
...snip...
So a poll talks about all the awesome things Warren has done and believes in (all true), but doesn't provide the positive narrative for Clinton or any other candidate. Then, surprise (!) a big chunk of people decide that they'd like Warren. Not exactly shocking news. Or relevant.
Let me be clear: I have never had an objection to Warren running IF SHE WANTED TO. This is a about to the spurious polling being used by some of her advocates, who know she's far too intelligent to be fooled buy it. I have to guess this actually targeted at prospective supporters (and contributors).

(30,250 posts)The poll mentioned that has been posted all over the internet is a testament of how desperate MoveOn is to see Elizabeth Warren run for president. She has already denied her interest repeatedly and I don't think that she was being coy. How about respecting the woman's wishes and looking elsewhere for another candidate?
I think that there should be a healthy and competitive primary, but I also think that constantly trying to push someone to run who is not interested in doing so is a waste of time and resources.

(55,981 posts)domination. Maybe she won't run but that isn't going to stop the populist movement. HRC may have all the big bucks behind her but sooner or later the public is going to get tired of getting screwed by Wall Street.

The hundreds of thousands in their graves salute you... with the bones of their middle finger.
But the mangled victims and veterans only send you the little finger, because you ain't worth the middle finger.
Bernie said about his getting in the race or not, "I'm not going to be a spoiler like Nader, not going to help elect a rightwing Republican in 2016."
The bashers need to put that in their pipe and smoke it for a while. Of course, he'll be under the bus now, along with Gore, Warren, Kerry, Obama, Hillary, et al, and the rest of us who need a Democratic win to not be driven into the streets and stoned to death by Tea Party mobs.
At least we're in good company, huh? What kind of cookies do you have? I'll slip you a chocolate chip one while we're under the proverbial bus.

(94,652 posts)Have I said anything against her policies, or her right to run if she wants to? This is about Warren's supporters being unrealistic about her likelihood of running.
