I read the article and every state employee is protected against any type of harassment
whether they are gay or not.

State agencies take harassment pretty serious when a claim is made.

Kansas is becoming a poor wasteland due to tax cut driven budget cuts.
It is the failed experiment of trickle down economics and Republican policies.

In NY. But I can see what is happening in Kansas.
If a Republican gets in, this will happen on a Federal level, and no State, red or blue will be safe from the results.

The Conservative social experiment will play out and be judged a failure before it can spread to the rest of the country.

But it was obviously failed and yet Brownback was reelected.
If a Republican wins in 2016, these are the exact policies he will pursue.
And with a GOP Congress, enact.

I think they hoped it would go away by now but it hasn't and now they're scrambling to raise taxes somehow. Without, you know, really raising taxes.

Other states are going to notice and think, "We don't want to be like Kansas." At least that's how I hope it plays out.

I've been repeatedly assured that's enough to stymie a President.

to the political season.

If it's election time, we're told the Presidency is a nearly unstoppable political force; by far the most important and powerful figure in government. If we win, we're told the President is basically a piece of a furniture, who only signs completed bills, and that he 'has to' push corporate legislation because the other party (even when they control absolutely nothing) is just so damned powerful.

Is that the GOP retains control of both Houses, which seems likely. Then the President would be unfettered in enacting these damaging policies.
