Chris Cuomo vs. Judge Moore--CNN host destroys Roy Moore in epic interview: ‘Our laws do not come fr

Well done!

In a riveting interview on Thursday, CNN host Chris Cuomo grilled Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore over his efforts to defy federal courts by blocking same-sex marriage in his state.

Over the weekend Moore had advised Alabama probate judges to refuse to issue marriage licenses to LGBT couples, a move that was compared to Gov. George Wallace blocking desegregation in the 1960s. On Monday, same-sex marriage licenses were issued in some Alabama counties, but more than 50 judges followed Moore’s advice.

Moore told Cuomo on Thursday that he “dissented” from the federal court ruling because it was “exactly like” Supreme Court rulings that upheld slavery and segregation.

“I would suggest that your refusal goes to what you believe marriage is about, and not just to the law,” Cuomo noted. “This is just like the Ten Commandments situation. You were told by the federal courts, remove the Ten Commandments from the public square. You didn’t want to, and you wound up losing your job because of it.”

What gets me is how they can't believe mankind managed to survive millions of years without their god, mostly doing a pretty damned good job of it, too. It's like, we only had civilization after that Jesus fellow came along. Doh.

I'm atheist so thats clear. I told him just because he thinks its wrong for gays to marry or that all muslims are bad or that we got to shoot every Mexican, his words, that comes over here does not make it right. He shot back that is the word of god and I said but some of us don't believe in that god of yours so you're pushing your beliefs on the rest of us and that is Wrong. Don't know if we'll be talking much anymore or not as he took offense but I am tired of hearing his tired old ass giving the same old tired reasons for pushing his tired old beliefs off onto the rest of us. Fuck it

Church causes more problems in this country/world than any other one entity. I truly believe that and that came to me after paying attention for the last 40 some odd years. In fact since I woke up to what was really going on shortly after arriving in 'Nam all those years ago. If war didn't do anything else for me it done one thing,it woke me right the fuck up.

“When you take the rules of your religion and you put them on everybody else, that is not what we do in this country. Your definition of marriage is based on your faith, you’ve said it a hundred times, that it is derived from God. That is not how it works here, and you know that. Equal protection applies to all by compromise. And you would even need to have a rational basis for why it would need to be only between a man and a woman, and all you can say is, ‘Because God said so. It’s always been that way.’ That’s not enough.”
