Gonna say 2 things.

1- 9-11, I saw him on the air for hours. (Now watch somebody correct me that he wasn't there.) And I remember (we know how our memories are) my commenting, every couple of hours they run him through a carwash and spray some hair product on him and then there he goes again for hours.

2- His standing in on the network news now (I don't watch), a glimpse was him hunkering down, ready to go to work without any star ambitions. He's a workhorse.

1. He works a full work week just on the weekends, and

is frequently a sub during the week. I hope he gets the evening slot.

2. I already wrote to NBC to say,I want Lou as anchor......

Then I hear that the white woman, Guthrie is up for the promotion...... I WON'T watch if it's anyone white, male or female. I WON'T watch. They need a man OR woman of a different ethnic origin to be the face of the news. JMHO
