Someone on an atheist message board posted this:
"She converted to Islam and married one of her kidnappers. Is this not relevant?"
I asked the source of this, and was told it was in the Wall Street Journal.
I went to the WSJ website, couldn't find this.
Anyone else see this, or is this more far-right smears against Muelller?

(26,281 posts)It was one of the morning news shows - don't remember which. And, it wasn't presented as a voluntary union. More like a reward for the fighter.

(21,786 posts)Intelligence also indicated that Ms Mueller was sometimes in the company of an Isis leader who had custody over her possibly by forced marriage.
Matt Olsen, former head of the National Counterterrorism Centre and current ABC News consultant, said ISIS is known for the practice of essentially selling off, or putting young women and girls in the company of ISIS militants."

(23,272 posts)As for the "conversion" It wouldn't surprise me that too was a "convert or die" immediately kind of thing. Converting as a prisoner of ISIS is meaningless imo.

(29,674 posts)said something about it this morning but he said that he heard it was forced. He also said (and I quote) "Obama better send someone in to cut their balls off!"
In other words, the RW is also disgusted by what happened with this young woman. I know because his only source of news is from FOX 4 and FOX News. (Not even the KC Star, which is pretty local.) He tends to repeat whatever they say so if he's saying this...
