Ebay is lobbying members to push for the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement

I am an ebay seller, and just received an email from eBay Main Street encouraging me to contact my Member of Congress to push for the TPP along with other trade agreements, saying this will be good for Internet sellers. Included in the email is a copy of a letter for eBay members to send in. There are tens of millions of sellers on eBay, and I guess this could be a powerful voice in favor of the TPP. 100% of my income comes from eBay sales. While there might be some good elements in the TPP regarding international trade barriers, there are still plenty of questions about it, and so I am not comfortable with the thought of TPP being pushed through Congress without proper debate. I am not sure if the TPP will even help me, but it must somehow help eBay and their subsidiaries, which includes PayPal. It would not surprise me that they had a hand in writing it. I just wanted people to know that there is a big push behind the TPP coming from eBay. Here is a copy of the letter they want me to send in: http://www.ebaymainstreet.com/campaign/support-small-business-trade

I have not had any trouble selling stuff to overseas buyers on eBay.
I assume I will be getting this email, too. Will reply with my thoughts on the TPP. Not in favor.

2. Yes, we have always exported things internationally. What has changed is the trade agreement since

the 80s. It is the international corporations that need what they call a level playing field and it is us they think are the problem.

3. How does eBay know enough about the TPP to weigh in on the matter?!

And to encourage their sellers to lobby their Congresspersons when they can't even read it either is ridiculous.

eBay knows very well what is in the TPP that will benefit eBay.
We sellers are, basically, supposed to "wait and see" - which is, oddly enough, the same directive from corporations as from the Obama supporters who believe he can do no wrong to the 99%.

Really, selling on eBay to overseas - they even have all the forms set up to go, and the postage. No problems that I have encountered.

6. Oh, my question was rhetorical and sarcastic. Tough to tell that no doubt.

I think it is highly outrageous that eBay would ask average people that haven't had access to the TPP to lobby for its passage when eBay's interests are no doubt covered very well by the TPP.

I'm solidly against the TPP for a number of reasons.

A fair price to pay for the further decimation of the working class here.
