Washington is rigged for the big guys - and no person has more consistently called them out for it than Jon Stewart. Good luck, Jon!

So much love for her. Hillary and the other sell-out corporatists and NSA/WarMachine/MassIncarceration apologists can disappear off the radar please and do the country a favor.

Anyway.. damn. Ive been ignoring news for a while now, so this is the first Ive heard of this. With no Colbert, and now Stewart leaving, that will really be the end of any live TV that I had interest in watching.

I never really went out of my way to watch his (or Colbert's) shows, I still thought they were talented. We need more shows like these, especially with the traditional media doing its job less and less and with more people around my age getting their news from comedy news shows.

I fought hard for 10 years and just have resigned myself to not being able to do anything about the stupid.

I don't watch cable news anymore, even MSNBC, and my ONLY respite, being able to laugh at the stupidity, was taping the Daily Show and watching it during lunch.

He is hands down the smartest, toughest and most honorable guy out there.

No one is even close.

I hope he gets another venue, but he might be tired of the stupid as well.

Can't blame him.

The RW has chipped away at the media for decades now. Once these last few tiny enclaves of truth are gone the world is truly and completely fucked.

Jon was a true American treasure. We could always count on him to skewer the idiocy of the puffed up 1%ers and their handlers, the msm. How will the GenXers find out the truth without it being revealed by Stewart? They certainly won't find the information on CBS, NBC, Faux (heavens no) or ABC - those bastions of disinformation.

Wah!! I love Jon and will pine for him every night at 11pm sharp once he's no longer on Comedy Central.

I can't think of anyone, besides Colbert, I will miss more than Jon Stewart. I'm very sad to see him leave, but of course I wish him well. Perhaps we will hear more from him in the future. Hope Springs!!

trust - with the serious grown-up stuff FAR more than the so-called TV new "grown-ups."

One by one, the patriarchs of the left are slipping away. Or in Colbert's case, being properly muzzled by the corporate powers that be.
