The true story of the recovery of the Klimt painting "The Woman in Gold" Adele

Bloch-Bauer is now a film starring Helen Mirren and will be coming out in April. It's a fabulous story and has a happy ending. I was wondering when they were going to make a film about it. The case was even in the U.S. Supreme Court. It is a story of restitution of art stolen by the Nazis from a Jewish family in Vienna.

I did an essay here on the saga http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025648962

here is a link to the trailer for this film

story. It came out in 2010 and they said at the time it was being made into a movie. At long last!

Can't get out to see the Turner...a friend of mine wants to see it at our arts cinema in New Haven but the weather is daunting. Parking in downtown New Haven is a real obstacle, too and won't even be possible during snow emergencies. I just hope the movie will not have come and gone by the time the snow is removed. I live in the western section of New Haven and it's bad enough here but downtown is another story...

at the Turing movie, so went back when it was on; have seen it twice, second time as birthday present to myself! FORTUNATELY I don't have similar problems as you, re: movie houses, so have seen more these past couple of years than had done in MANY years.

We have some suburban movie theatres but they usually only run the more popular Hollywood stuff, not these kinds of movies.

So streets can be narrow to begin with. Add piles of snow and you have some really serious traffic problems. Movie theatre parking is the least of it!
