This could well be the end of Brian Williams at NBC.

"The move will also give NBC more time to sort out the issue and also to assemble a contingency plan should Mr. Williams be forced to resign, Mr. Hanley said.

“One of the interesting things about this is there is no set date for return,” he said. “It is ambiguous, which suggests that NBC executives are going to undertake a full investigation and not let him back on the air until that investigation is complete.” "

"The evening broadcast has remained a stable block for NBC even as its “Today” and “Meet the Press” shows have faced challenges. As such, top executives have not focused on succession planning for the “NBC Nightly News” because it did not appear necessary. In December, the network extended Mr. Williams’s contract. The terms were reported to be as much as $10 million per year for five years."

CBS let Lara Logan back on after her fabricated Benghazi report. Steve Croft (70) also a CBS 60 Minutes correspondent has just had his 3 year affair with a 41 yo woman exposed.

Will have to wait and see if ABC can screw up as well.

2. Not fair, IMO, to attack Croft for his personal life. Who knows what that's about,

and it has nothing to do with his professional integrity.

In my opinion, Logan's elaborate fabrications on Benghazi are fair material in judging her lack of integrity and scheming with regard to smearing the Obama administration.

Williams' integrity is also called into question here.

I've heard the issue discussed by talk show hosts before.

Maybe they are separated?

He lives in the New York - what kind of moral turpitude, outside incest or cannibalism, would be considered 'base' or 'vile' here?

You can bet plenty of people are looking at that, plus other claims he has made.
He said he saw floating bodies from his hotel window in the French quarter, even tho the French quarter did not have any flooding.

One of the many reasons why tv news has no credibility any longer.
I quit expecting real news when Cronkite left.

No offense intended but how many people really watch these antiquated nightly news shows?

Few people under 40 watch them.

Ginning up war was his crime.

Besides, the media lies often and when they aren't lying they facilitate the lies of others.
