6 Nutjob Right-Wing Moments This Week: GOP Senator Outdoes Ayn Rand

Plus, don't forget those silver linings of rape!

1. New GOP Senator: Food workers must be free not to wash their hands!

2. West Virginia GOP-er: Pregnancy can be a marvelous silver lining to being raped.

3. Utah GOP-er: In a first date scenario, he allowed, it would be rape if you had sex with someone while they were unconscious. “But to me,” he said, “not where people have a history of years of sexual activity."

4. GOP-er blames measles outbreak on “illegal aliens."

5. Glenn Beck: I’m just like Galileo because God gave me a brain, and I say no to vaccines.

6. Ann Coulter: Education is bad. It makes people turn against Republicans.

and democracy ended so long ago we all just live in a state of survival now.

The problem is that at this point they can't be stopped absent violent revolution. A good analogy is the Nazi invasion of Poland. The Poles' horse infantry was, obviously, no match for the ultra-modern Wehrmacht. The other side has all the money, all the access and already owns the apparatus. Between 40-50% of the populace is so dumbed-down, brainwashed and devoid of anything remotely resembling critical thinking skills that they start out with majority support.

The only thing that can stop them in the foreseeable future is some sort of planetary catastrophe. They will fall, as everything in history eventually does, but the New Fascists are here to stay, probably for several decades.
