Alan Keyes: LGBT marriage will lead to the break-up of the United States

Story here

Alan Keyes, unintentional comedian, said that marriage equality for LGBT folks would lead to the destruction of the republic.

From the article:

The religious speaker – who was a diplomat under Ronald Reagan and has run for President three times – warned that if the Supreme Court rules in favour of same-sex marriage, it could break apart the union.

He said: “This would be an attack on the people of the United States more grievous than that which led the first generation of Americans to declare their independence from Great Britain."

to attend public schools, eat lunch at Woolworth's, live in "white neighborhoods," etc.

It was going to ignite another civil war, they said.

For all this talk of how smart he is, Keyes seems to have no knowledge of recent history.

They are certainly doing everything they can to bring it about, just like they did in the 60s. Same people, for the most part.

I'll ask my sister-in-law and her wife this afternoon when we meet up with them how they go about destroying the country. I'd like to know because that is some power that they have.

back to the 80's and a Presidential candidate 3 other times. Keyes was named Ambassador to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations by President Ronald Reagan, and also served as Reagan's Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs from 1985 to 1987.

Keyes out-spent Obama 2 to 1, and lost 3-1.

I remember that race because the republican had to drop out since his wife was forced into doing kinky sex, (Jeri Ryan, yes, 7 of 9!) and Mike Ditka said no.

So the GOP got a volunteer from the back of the short bus. who kept jumping up and down "Pick me! Pick me!"

Keyes.

It didn't help the fact that Keyes had a habit of not paying his taxes, or his campaign creditors.

Too often we, GLBT people, are being told to "calm down" and the speaker is "just a nut." These people are a threat. Sure, many laugh at people like Keyes, especially at this site, but the truth is he and those like him do have a following and as Republicans "embrace" diversity, people like this are given a voice often hushed in other venues. Their lunacy should not be met with our silence!

One of the leading bits of cock and bull purveyed by Keyes and his ilk is that sexual orientation isn't biologically determined. The marks (I.e. the rest of us) are expected to believe that not only is being gay a choice, but that is theoretically possible to turn the entire USA homosexual and lesbian. I find this notion preposterous. I'd say that most heterosexuals know what they are and know what they like.

As for the people who believe such cods wallop, there's one born every minute, and I don't mean someone with a cute tushie.

Other countries carefully select sensible, cautious, intelligent people for diplomatic service. The USA drops arseholes like this guy and John Bolton into their service, like a turd in a punchbowl. How much extra work do the real diplomats have to do to make up for the politically-motivated lunatics?

Those on the pro-GLBT side of Keyes' silly idea for a civil war will get fed, sheltered, and helped any way I can. I live in a red state, so I can't wait to see these bigoted rednecks get roundly defeated by the pro-GLBT forces. It would do my heart good to see that. It would be a dream come true, actually.
