(23,671 posts)They and any other Democratic Senator or Rep who have a large Jewish constituency, may find it difficult to avoid the speech for political reasons. But I say damn the political appearances, the Republican Majority leader, has dissed YOUR president, and in fact may be committing treason for undermining a President's foreign relations initiatives.

(30,058 posts)Position would not have accepted the invitation without it being a joint invitation between the president and Congress. Short of a joint invitation it is to upset the negotiations with Iran and Obama is not doing what Netanyahu wants so he would love to mess up the negotiations. If Netanyahu wants to be pissed at anyone it should be W's administration since W could not wait to invade Iraq and this is who kept Iran under control.
