REPUBLICAN STALEMATE THREATENS HOMELAND SECURITY

Congress “skipping town” despite stalemate over immigration and funding Homeland Security. Politico:

“[Senate Democrats] filibustered the House bill on Thursday for the third time this week. Now Senate Republicans argue they’ve done all they can. It’s time, they say, for the House to send something else over … But House Speaker John Boehner sees a different solution: the Senate putting together its own proposal to undo the jam … they both plan to be in recess the entire week of Feb. 16.”

They have already been in session nearly a month and they have already voted for the 666th time, or so it seems, to defund the Affordable Care Act. They deserve a little break so they can fundraise some more. They do have to check in with their corporate owners you know.

You have no idea how difficult it is to do "the Peoples' business", as Boehner likes to say, 3 days a week for 30 weeks a year. Please be more considerate of our overworked Representatives.

Why not just link directly to the article in question - is there a fundraising aspect to this?
