people would play the same half-dozen or so tracks from 'Legend' over and over and over. Much like classic rock radio playing so much Zeppelin that I got kind of sick of them as well. On the other hand, I still acknowledge the greatness of both.

How does it feel to be so negative? If you dont like his music, you could have ignored the thread and not commented. But you chose saying something dismissive and rude. What is wrong with you?

on a track and I'm not sure I could differentiate him from Bob if they were singing the same song. Kinda floored me.

We'll be going to some of the concerts from today to Sunday - some of the sons will perform. There's a nice free one at the Kingston waterfront tomorrow, one in Nine Miles, St Ann (his birthplace) tomorrow and when I passed his home at 56 Hope Road this morning the crowd (local and foreign) was already gathering.

And I've heard some decent stuff from Stephen, but Damian isn't really my cup of tea - nothing wrong with his voice, I just don't care for that sort of reggae/pop/hip-hop hybrid.

My favorite line is '...is a foolish dawg bark at a flying bird..' (from Jah Live)
Funny yesterday just after I arrived at work I saw this puppy running after a flying bird and then barking after the bird took off flying. I laughed with a worker in the car park and reminded him of that Bob line.

It's a lovely metaphor - works well for the RWs going after Barack Obama.

People will be listening to his music and talking about him for the next thousand years at least.

Justice would prevent the murders of artists and intellectuals who teach through their work that all people were treated equally. As those who advocate for all people being equal -- true democrats -- they are a danger to those wishing to remain on top of the heap.

How many innocent people died to "stop the spread" of ideas like communism and terrorism?

Didn't need to lose a single one. All it would take is one good idea: "Democracy is better."

I'm still amazed that I got to see him live in concert four times! Up here in Minnesota! I can't remember how I even knew about him in the first place, but I was utterly swept away by his music and dragged all my friends along to his first concert here. They were, of course, totally won over, so we all made sure to go see him every time he and his band came through town.

Those were the days...

Such an awful loss that he died so young.
