I think it's an insult to classify a female model in this way.
She's a model...that's it...a model.
Do they classify models the other way around? No.

(94,591 posts)If she were an art subject, I would agree. But a model "models" things, generally clothes; those clothes come in sizes and "plus size" for better or worse is a market segment.

(14,337 posts)Certains sizes are geared to specific size ranges. Women want to see what they themselves would look like. I am 5'1 and 100 lbs. Could I wear something that a plus size or 5'10" model is wearing? No point in me even looking at those types of models.
The clothing has to fit the woman who buys it.
