Prediction: Chris Christie will NOT run for President.

The base doesn't trust him, the establishment loves Bush and he has sky-high negatives in New Jersey. But more importantly, he's become a joke for falling out of chairs and dwelling in luxury boxes. When you become a joke, you become poison.

Too many "things" keep popping up from his past. Also he has a hot temper and quite often speaks without thinking; he can get away with that in Jersey but not on a national stage.

Somebody who has his amount of tin-ear and blind-spot to ethics (if not outright criminality), who somehow seems to believe he projects some kind of attraction to the public, somebody like him who looks in the mirror to shave every day and can't see the CHURLISHNESS in his face --- can such a person reach an appropriate conclusion?!1

Perhaps, if sufficient numbers of his party bang him on the head forcibly enough it will stop him, even if he's not convinced.

Otoh, he SHOULD be the nominee, SHOULD be the face of his party: He exemplifies all the greed, bully behavior, ethical deficit of his party, represents it perfectly.

Plus what is he going to do once his second term as governor is up to stay in the spotlight for a run in 2020 or later? He'll stay in, and if he makes it to the debates, he'll lose his temper when the other candidates start hammering on him and become even more radioactive and drop out then.

It'll be over for him before he can ever get there.

Republicans will never forgive him for that. At least the ones that pull the strings.
