I see exactly ONE Sports Illustrated cover every year.

You know why?

Because it gets linked or posted to DU.

Yes, if I wanted to go to the newsstand, I guess I could go have a look. But that same newsstand has any number of pornographic magazines which, if I were interested in buying a pornographic magazine, I could look at too.

Now, I found something out in the field when I was walking my dog earlier tonight. It is brown, warm, and smells really bad. It is too bad the internet doesn't allow me to post smells, because it smells so bad that I would like to share it with everyone.

It's been about a dozen years since I've seen an actual SISI issue. It makes for some amusing threads, though. I was suggesting that a more literal meaning of your words might apply to some who get so uptight over its posting on DU.

of a very beautiful woman. I enjoy looking at beauty.
Like most cultural things that people can object to, if you don't like it, you don't have to buy it, or even look at it for that matter.

I can't stand the pop music of today, so what do I do > I don't listen.

Another one was "ooh-la-la".

One of my first bosses liked to say that about girls he thought was sexy that came in the restaurant.

on DU, I intend to buy it like clockwork for the rest of my life, even though 11 months out of the year I could give a shit about Sports Illustrated"

Sports Illustrated is way too interested in promoting the SEC and writing fluff feel-good pieces instead of actual sports. I will, however, buy the Swimsuit Issue just to reward SI for all of the fascinating exchanges here.

It's almost like the marketing people at Sports Illustrated understand the psychology of people like me; i.e. the best way to get me to do so something is to tell me not to.
