They are more sociopaths than irony impaired, and should be approached as such.

They know what they are doing and try to hide it for advantage. As a collective group it seems some feed off beliefs they know are really in no ones interest is contrary to any advantage and really do not care what the consequences. In that the collective group of what I would label those without a sense of irony resembles Sociopaths a general lack of regret.

Two prime cases of a Sociopath. A politician who stresses his concern for the poor and touts his family values. He impregnates a woman denies it encourages an aide to take responsibility. His family including a terminally ill wife is left to watch.

All of the Republican congress members who sought to get rid of a Democratic President who was something of a Sociopath himself. Some of critics then turn around engage in similar behavior. They are a large group of Sociopaths.

A Fox News consumer believes every thing they have been told. Their ability to judge irony is severely impaired. The are not necessarily Sociopaths even though they discount consequences of their beliefs, words, and actions. Call it what you want the gullible, sheeple , brain washed or those without a sense of irony they generally lack the deception of a Sociopath

I think you give them too much credit.

they would rather destroy the country than let the current pres continue.

They, and I mean a lot of them, agree with the idea that we would be better in flames than have any "liberal" in the WH

They aren't just gullible sheeple - they are a group that uses law for theft and murder - in ways that some of our elected officials do as well. Actively hurting people, know they are, and pretend to be otherwise.

They are sociopaths, and to treat them otherwise is to find those you love in danger that one might have prevented.

The idea that Americans are irony impaired, frequently spouted by Brits, is pure unadulterated bullshit.

take care of themselves. What is wrong with american culture. American parents need to raise their kids right. Its all about values. The christians need to apologize and stand up and strongly denounce measles. If they weren't so busy drinking beer, eating bacon, and having drunken sex, they wouldn't have so many measle-inflected kids. Who, ya know, will probably just grow up to have more measle-infected kids.
