(11,495 posts)Republican in NH aren't very smart either. Of course when you look at the choices they go from totally insane all the way up to just plain insane . Not really much to choose from if you ask me!

(42,641 posts)Does that NH1 poll reflect the actual number of people from that state who live there? That the primary process allows the relative handful of people who live in states like N.H. and Iowa to determine anything is an insult to democracy.
Another question:
Why does the American primary season start one month after an election is done? The country is always in election mode and nothing gets done. (Does allow plenty of time to buy politicians and confuse the voters though)
In Canada, election season must take at least 36 days, and some take longer, but almost never over 60 days. Leaves more time for actual governing.
Plus American elections are now a money affair, whereas in Canada the Election Act sets strict spending limits.
