(1,144 posts)Apparently TPP would allow corporations to come in and sue communities if they ran a marketing campaign to "Buy Local" or advocated any small time grower over a large corporations.
It's nuts.

(6,699 posts)Bravo to these brave souls. It's maybe going to take thousands of us, and take a long, sustained effort to stop this secret, destructive deal from being spewed on the American worker.
Thank you, all of you present, for your courageous effort.

Surely WE have as much lung power as the teabaggers. And hundreds of times the intellect! As well as the FACTS - on OUR side.

(2,966 posts)But I just called my representative in Congress for the first time ever to ask that he oppose fast tracking of the TPP. This agreement is, in my opinion, horrible for the people of the US and the people of the world. My rep is Trey Gowdy and probably won't listen, but maybe yours will.
Thanks for posting dixiegrrrrl! You inspired me!

(5,275 posts)And take note of where Hillary is on this. I don't really think Elizabeth Warren wants to be president but we need her in the battle, up front with others like Bernie to hopefully forcefully drag Clinton back from Third Wayville.
Think things through Hillary lovers. Like most women I'm thrilled we may finally have a female president but don't want the first to be a fake democrat aside from social issues.

(32,324 posts)petition will do what: get our name fast tracked to Homeland Security, if it is not already there?
The FDA received close to one million signatures regarding Monsanto and the other GM giants. But the peitition signers were told that our signatures counted as only one signature, as only one peace and social justice org was behind collecting the signatures.
I am so done with petitions.
