CONDITIONS.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 20 TO 30 INCHES...WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 4

They read off the top ten storms going back to 1872 and their snow footages and said this one could possibly be the worst ever.

And dropped 40 inches on areas in the state. But whether 2 feet, or 2.5 feet, it sucks, it really really sucks.

Notification issued 1/25/15 at 3:45 PM. The National Weather Service has issued a citywide Blizzard Warning which is in effect from Monday, 1/26 at 1PM until 12AM Wednesday morning. The current forecast calls for 20-30 inches of snow, with locally higher amounts possible and snowfall rates of up to 2-4 inches per hour late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Northern winds of 30-40mph are forecast, with gusts of up to 65mph possible. Temperatures in the lower 20s are expected, with visibilities of one quarter mile or less at times. I previously thought numerous times: "Oh this winter hasn't been so bad - nothing like last year..." WOOPS There goes my complacency out the window...

Since it's about a half hour away. The aggravating thing is that I made a point of checking the weather forecast before I made the appt and, at the time, Tuesday was supposed to be sunny. I hate winter...
