Scott says he would cooperate with any FDLE probe

Gov. Rick Scott said Friday he would cooperate with any investigation that might be launched into allegations that he and his office made politically motivated requests to the state's former top law-enforcement official..

Scott has denied any wrongdoing but has largely refused to answer specific questions regarding allegations raised by former Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey.

Bailey, who was forced to resign, contends the governor and his office interfered politically with the law enforcement agency.

On Friday, Scott said, "If there is an investigation, I'll work with them," when asked about it in Orlando.

But whether he will live up to his word is a totally different issue.

"I'll work with them" is open to anyone's interpretation.

I don't trust that weasel any further than I could throw him.
