It shouldn't matter how the GOP votes this week on student loans. The history of the GOP

should make it easy for dem leaders to clarify for the voting public where the gop really stands. This is low hanging political fruit that dems can pick...regardless of current posturing.

Didn't GWB double student loan interest rates? Don't they always include cuts to education and student loans in their proposed budgets? Didn't Obama cut student loan rates and take student loans out of the hands of private banks? Didn't the stimulus save thousands of teacher's jobs?

You know what will happen if the GOP takes the senate or the WH...back to education cuts, profits on student loans for banks, teacher unions gutted, funding to schools gutted, private schools supported, lunch programs cut again, nutrition programs cut, etc. etc.. Please, please don't let them skate on this alternative future. They own it, based on their own policy.

So, dems...don't let the public forget who really supports education. Don't let the GOP put a mask on an ugly, ugly legacy and a repulsive future.
