OT? Trying to watch "Noah" on cable with Russell Crowe

I didn't know anything about it when it was in the theater other than don't bother comments. Now I see what they meant.

What version of the bible did they use for the script? I'm lost.

1. Like him or not, Bill Maher does an epic takedown of this movie.

i watched it b/c someone said it was "hilarious"

i guess i've lost my sense of humor -- i didn't find it funny or even amusing
(i think they meant that it was so bad it was good. but i still didn't find it funny)

i was gonna turn it off but i kept thinking: no wait--maybe it'll get funny now.

it didn't.

i never read the whole bible but i wondered wtf those monsters were. i don't remember ever hearing about those!

The best part was the angels. My roommate and I, well, we couldn't watch it all the way through and I couldn't get it back to redbox fast enough! There was no way I was going to pay for two nights for that movie!

5. Biblical inaccuracies are the least of the problems with that stinker.

Though going with that may have helped.

One of the Rotten Tomatoes reviews for this movie knocks it because it's 'unrealistic and can't be believed' as opposed to the bible version.

The whole story is batshit crazy to begin with so why not take whatever liberty you want? For the most part I liked Noah.

'The Wrestler'. Great films. Noah? People need paychecks sometimes.
