he may be uninsurable as an individual except through programs that guarantee coverage to people regardless of their preexisting conditions.
and without Obamacare, even if he could get individual insurance, it might not cover his leg.
also without Obamacare, all insurance policies could exclude prosthetic coverage, on a whim --but with it, they cannot.
when he says this, he is not kidding.

if not, maybe you don't really know? you've been here for how many tens of thousands of posts and you've never articulated in all your posts against Medicare, key policy changes you think are necessary. maybe you don't know any. all you say is it needs to save money.
I like what they do there.

(16,986 posts)I'd add to that that all the GOP kvelling about protecting life is phoney unless they are willing to acknowledge EVERYONE needs health care -- everyone, and without demanding bankruptcy as the price.
