If you had ANY doubt that Zimmerman's new attorney is one smart MoFo, read THIS.

The website George Zimmerman created to raise funds for his defense against charges in the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin was shut down this week, Zimmerman's attorney said Wednesday.

The site started up this month to raise funds for the defense of Zimmerman, who has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the shooting death of Martin, an African American. Zimmerman, the son of a Latina, has apologized for killing Martin, 17, saying he acted in self-defense when their paths crossed on Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla.

***

The website was taken down at the behest of Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara, according to his spokesman, James Woods. “It was taken down at Mark's request, and he will not have any future online presence unless authorized in advance by Mark,” Woods said in a telephone interview with the Los Angeles Times.

Zimmerman does not come from a wealthy family, and O’Mara has hinted that he will ask the court to declare his client indigent, allowing the state to pay for his defense.

He was a magistrate for 6 years in Virginia. A job for which he had to complete a four day training course in order to do.

and found the information on another thread.

I believe TM was killed through no actions of his own and that there must be justice. Still, what I think is irrelevant, as with everyone else at this point.

But the article below is informative for those looking beyond the surface for facts. Just sayin'

Ever notice how those violent gun owners never want to give-up their weapons? I think he'll be more likely to rob a liquor store for cash than sell the objects of his weapon fetish.

the people who signed the bail bond had to put up $15,000 cash (10% of the $150,000). In case the Zimmerman son runs away and can't be found, whoever signed the bail bond would be responsible for $150,000 - the $15,000 they put up earlier in cash. The people who signed the bond probably used their house or other assets that would be claimed by the bonds company if Zimmerman runs away.

It was put up as collateral for the bond so it is no longer an $150,000 asset that can be applied when considering the ability to afford an attorney.

"In 2007 he married Shellie Dean, a licensed cosmetologist, and in 2009 the couple rented a townhouse in the Retreat at Twin Lakes. Zimmerman had bounced from job to job for a couple of years, working at a car dealership and a mortgage company. At times, according to testimony from Shellie at a bond hearing for Zimmerman last week, the couple filed for unemployment benefits."

Note that nice sanitary language -- "their paths crossed" -- as if each just happened upon the other purely by accident. Jesus H. Christ!
